Cleaning

  • Before first use and after each feeding, clean the silicone puppy feeder with hot soapy water (dishwashing liquid) and rinse it with clean water. Avoid using the dishwasher.
  • Sterilize the multiple puppy feeder station in boiling water for 5 to 6 minutes to eliminate bacteria and ensure optimal hygiene. You can repeat this operation as many times as necessary, without any danger. Do not leave it unattended while boiling.
  • Do not use the microwave to sterilize the silicone puppy feeder.

Storage

  • Once the little ones no longer need to be fed with the puppy feeder with nipples, sterilize the silicone puppy feeder one last time, dry it carefully and store it in a dry place.
  • Avoid putting it in a plastic bag to prevent fungus from developing. It is best to store it in its original box if you have kept it.
  • Do not leave the wooden clips on the end of the puppy feeder with nipples to avoid crushing the silicone.

Replacement

  • Replace the silicone puppy feeder as soon as it shows signs of wear or deterioration to ensure safe and effective feeding.

The teats are already pierced and their flow rate is indicated by a system of colored dots. Each color represents a different flow rate, making it possible to adapt to the specific needs of each puppy according to breed, size and appetite.

  • Low flow: ideal for small puppies or those just starting to suckle.
  • Medium-low flow: suitable for puppies with a little more suckling experience.
  • Medium flow: perfect for most medium-sized puppies.
  • Medium-high flow: suitable for larger puppies or those with a bigger appetite.
  • High flow: for larger puppies or those requiring a faster milk flow.

Flow problems

If you find that your milk flow is insufficient, there are several possible causes:

1. Inappropriate flow for the breed
Make sure the color of the teat matches your puppy’s needs. For example, a small-breed puppy might need a teat with a lower flow rate (red or yellow), while a large-breed puppy might need a higher flow rate (green or white).

2. Milk thickness
If you use a homemade recipe, the milk may be too thick to pass through the teat. In this case, you can dilute the milk or use a nipple with a higher flow rate.

3. Blocked teat
Check if the nipple is blocked. This can happen with frequent use or if dried milk particles clog the hole. Clean the nipple thoroughly and make sure it is not damaged.
